Viticultural Details 2-wire trellis on poor but well-drained soils. Low yields of less than 8 tons per hectare.
Vitification Picked at 25.5˚ Balling. Fortified at 11˚ Balling with unmatured brandy spirit. 18 months maturation in 300 liter barrels, blend of 2 vintages.
Tasting Notes This fortified wine is dark and rich in colour, with pleasant aromas of freshly ground coffee and layers of dark fruit. It has a firm structure and a lingering, aromatic aftertaste. Serve at room temperature with dessert, or enjoy on its own instead of coffee.
